The challenge
The WOLF-Garten brand is as established in German gardens as the garden gnome, and has been since 1922. However, despite continuous product innovations, for a long time the company's market presentation remained stuck in the past with a distinctly old-fashioned look. The problem was so dire that at one time the tradition-rich company based in Saarland almost disappeared from the radar of its younger-generation target group. What was needed was fresh input and fast support of the in-house marketing department. Simultaneously, the company needed a sustainable strategy for long-term market development.
The solution
Right from the start of our collaboration in 2015, we've pursued an ambitious goal: to reinvent the traditional WOLF-Garten brand while retaining its valuable core brand message. First, we implemented small quick wins. At the same time, we completely rebooted the corporate design and packaging. To give the brand emotional punch, we chose a new imagery with a focus on the enjoyment of gardening. The adoption of the new design in all print material, high-impact campaigns, creative ideas for social media and online sales campaigns as well as modern product and image videos ensure that WOLF-Garten is steadily rebuilding its brand awareness among garden owners.
The result
Soon after the relaunch with the first improvements, customer trust in the brand revived and sales picked up. Today, we continue to be more for the company than its lead agency: As an effective sparring partner for the Marketing and Sales Departments as well as the management, we know the needs of all internal stakeholders.
